Production Seamless quality control & material traceability from goods receipt to customer approval
Our hydraulic cylinders are manufactured in compliance with international standards and norms in our own production halls in Sulzbach/Saar. Constant monitoring of all processes, from the beginning of the design process to delivery, guarantees the highest quality.
Incoming Goods Inspection
Before materials or components are released for production, a comprehensive quality check is performed: a certificate inspection, coating inspection, component inspection and dimensional inspection. Everything is documented in our ERP system to ensure material traceability.
Single Part Machining
Our machinery is geared towards the flexible production of cylinder components using modern manufacturing processes and offers all the component machining options. Equipped with CAD-CAM interfaces, all the necessary machining processes for manufacturing can be performed, such as CNC turning, milling, boring and deep-hole drilling. Even complex shapes can be efficiently manufactured on our modern turning-milling centres.
Honing and roller burnishing
The cross hatch produced by honing enables particularly fine surfaces. Honed surfaces offer excellent lubrication properties, which is why this manufacturing process is particularly suitable for machining the inner surfaces of cylinder tubes.
Component dimensions:
- Diameters up to Ø 1,400 mm
- Lengths up to 12,000 mm
Welding
Our welding shop is equipped with modern welding systems for submerged arc welding, MAG/MIG welding and TIG welding processes and is certified in accordance with DIN3834-2, EN1090-EXC4, DIN2303 and DNV. Our experienced welding specialists are all qualified, regularly take part in further training and are tested in accordance with the relevant standards. We can carry out various non-destructive tests such as UT, MT and PT, all of which are performed by qualified NDT personnel.
Assembly
When our products reach the final assembly stage, we place great importance on the utmost cleanliness. Before assembly, all individual parts are cleaned using washing machines and special equipment. All components undergo a final quality check by our experienced assembly staff. To ensure material traceability, batch numbers are recorded electronically and transferred to our ERP system.
Pressure Testing & Function Testing
All hydraulic cylinders undergo a pressure test and function test. We have modern hydraulic test benches for test pressures of up to 1,200 bar and continuous oil cleanliness monitoring at our disposal. Possible scopes of testing are: pressure testing, friction measurement, leakage rate, functional tests for sensors and valve technology.
Coating
The hydraulic cylinders are painted in-house in accordance with the operating conditions, regulations and customer-specific requirements. The HYDROSAAR standard painting system is categorised according to corrosivity categories C3 to CX in accordance with ISO12944. Special paint finishes in accordance with the Norsok standard are also available on request. Quality control is performed by our own Frosio inspector.
Customer Documentation
We can provide comprehensive documentation at the customer's request. You are very welcome to contact us about this.
